I'm a multi-dimensional artist, but most deeply a photographer. I have been photographing the art found in debris piles and hope they've found the right homes.
Impact from Helene: I did not lose any art in the flood. However, I am donating >50% of every sale of my art and photography to The RADA Foundation (River Arts District Artists) along with individual artists I know.
The ask: What i really want is for you to find an Asheville artist who is struggling and buy art from them. It serves a manifold purpose - it not only puts cash in their pockets for supplies and studio rental, but gives them that positive reinforcement that their creativity is appreciated and seen. Also consider going to see local musicians, venues and galleries that have taken the business hit. Thank you.
