Elizabeth Foley is an award-winning artist, author and creativity coach who has called Asheville, NC home for over 25 years. She is passionate about the power of creativity as a catalyst for growth and healing. Through her work she seeks to empower women to tell their stories, own their greatness and stand in their power.
Elizabeth’s acrylic paintings and mixed media art feature vibrant colors and whimsical designs. She is inspired by the magic and wonder of the natural world and the imagination of her inner child. Many of her paintings explore feminine archetypes like warrior woman, medicine woman, muse. 


Elizabeth’s first creative love is ceramics. She loves being able to take a humble lump of clay and turn it into something marvelous. Currently she is working on sculpting a series of ceramic swans that each tell the story of a survivor of Domestic Violence. Through her work she hopes to raise awareness about Domestic Violence and be a catalyst for social change.'
Impact from Helene: I am fortunate that my home, studio and art are all safe but nevertheless Helene had big impacts in my life. I lost over a month of work due to lack of utilities and internet service. I also lost a number of other opportunities - a planned collaboration, a planned trip to be a featured artist and give a talk and workshop.
My co-parent's house was flooded and is uninhabitable which has impacted my time and bandwidth for creativity, teaching and marketing as I support rebuilding efforts both with him and with other local relief efforts. I feel like the hurricane threw all my business plans into the air and it's going to take some time to recalibrate.
