Kate Kelleher Art
Hi, I am a freelance, self-taught artist and photographer in Asheville with my senior dog, Journey. My work has been featured in galleries, exhibits, and publications locally, nationally, and internationally from the River Arts District of Asheville to New York City to even Le Louvre in Paris, France. I work in multiple mediums, from ink drawings to oil or acrylic paintings, to mixed media on upcycled material, to photography; I hope to never stop learning and growing.
Impact from Helene: Most of my original works and also inventory of prints were in the River Arts District at the time of the storm and the floods, between my gallery space in Foundation Studios where I was a regular exhibitor and participant in live demos and events as well, and also at Artplay, where I had several large works for a special exhibition that had not yet opened. Both galleries were destroyed by the floods as was the works inside them. And as a photographer, all my Fall (usually my busiest time of year) and future photoshoots that were scheduled have been cancelled, as the beautiful nature locations have been affected by the storm and tourism is not feasible for clients at this time.
The ask: I would love and be grateful for any kind of support from the WNC community or even wider community to get back to a good place of creating. This can be with purchases of art or orders of commissions of art or prints, purchases of photo prints, or scheduling of photoshoots for a future date.
