Paige Houghton Art
Art has always been a huge part of my life, ever since my 2nd grade teacher confiscated my new box of six crayons. I simply would not stay inside the lines! And now I am making a splash with paint here in our tiny 1925 Asheville bungalow. I have worked in my tiny home studio as a fiber artist in Asheville for over a decade. I like to take my inspiration from all the beauty here in Asheville and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.

Born in 1981, I spent my first decade in the rural town of Stokesdale, just outside Kernersville, NC. Growing up, I explored the hunting trails and farm fields surrounding the farmhouse we rented, weaving epic narratives in my head about the spirit of the fields and forests and my relationship to what I observed. This early dreaming and exploration profoundly shaped my creative vision and continues to inspire my artwork.
